Hello Everyone - Joyce from Ireland but a UK resident for nearly 18+ years.
I am open to whatever this course has to offer however I’d love to also be able to bring back some principles and practices to an internal API Community.
Great to have you with us. Thank you for joining our community and sharing your expectation with us. Just like you, most of us are new to the world of API platform engineering and are excited to learn together!
Welcome to the community, Oluwaseun (@s3un)! Thank you for joining the programme and sharing your expectation with us. Building secure and scalable API platforms is an important topic and we have dedicated an entire session on it in week 4. Even better, we will be joined by the one and only James Higginbotham to share his experience in this area
Hi Joyce (@JoyceStack),
Welcome to the API platform engineering community! Thank you for joining the fundamentals programme. Excited to have you with us.
I am open to whatever this course has to offer however I’d love to also be able to bring back some principles and practices to an internal API Community.
That sounds amazing. We will definitely be covering a number of key topics that should be valuable for you and your team:
session 2 will go into Jobs to be done (JTBD) for platform teams,
session 3 will go into a platform engineering toolkit,
session 4 will explore how to build API platforms,
session 5 will take a deeper look at Tyk’s API management platform,
session 6 will explore metrics that matter for platform teams.
As you follow along, if there are more specific questions or topics that you would like to explore, feel free to share them and we will do our best to cover them during the programme
My name is Sofia and I’m from Daly City, CA in the USA! I want to learn the fundamentals of API Platform Engineering, as it is not something I’ve implemented before, so I will be excited to learn everything this course covers.
I’m working as a freelance Software Architect & Craftsman, at the moment I’m doing technical and conceptual consulting for a big company, especially working with the Tyk APIM platform but also API Gateways in general in the context of MACH software architectures.
Interested in this course to learn new things about APIM and Tyk and also excited to see, if we could share learning resources from this training series with our project.
Hello API World! I am a program management defector hoping to return back to engineering. I mostly worked in Rails shops and starting a Node.js developer course the other day. I am really interested in building APIs and API security. I think this course and the possible connections here will be great gateway opportunity for anyone looking to evolve their career.
I hoping to transition to either a API PM or API engineer over the next few months. I love integrations and APIs and platform are at the of it.
Hi everyone! I’m Kate from Miami, FL. Working as a product manager and hoping to know more about the theory of API interactions and how to build an API platform properly.
I’m David, from Valencia (Spain). API Evangelist at Shape by atmira and always willing to learn about amazing platforms such as Tyk.io.
Q2: What is the one thing you would like to learn about in this programme?
I would like to learn the basics from Tyk.io to be able to architect API Management solutions using this platform and run benchmarking in our customers.
