Tyk Connection Issue

Hi all, when I have SSL disabled on the Gateway Tyk is proxying requests as expected and connects without issues. However when SSL is enabled it is returning “connection refused” errors in its logs.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, can you paste your logs?

Jul 19 21:08:04 vastyk tyk[2357]: time="Jul 19 21:08:04" level=error msg="http: proxy error: dial tcp: lookup xxxxxxx on [::1]:53: read udp [::1]:43790->[::1]:53: read: connection refused" api_id=4a3ac122345a4bed6ba45a5a5ad2d7a0 org_id=578e8b6e0aeed00ea7000001 server_name="xxxxxxxxx" user_id= user_ip=xxxxxxxx user_name=

For all that may have an issue with this, the solution was to provide an SSL certificate for the end target server as well. I don’t know why Tyk requires this when enabling SSL on itself, but for some reason it does when your target servers are addressed by hostname.

Thank you all,
