Seeking Recommendations: Production-Ready Redis Alternative for Tyk Gateway on GKE (Post-Bitnami Deprecation)

We are migrating away from bitnamilegacy Redis charts due to the end of support for their public images. Our environment is GKE and the primary consumer is DataPlane and Tyk Control Plane

We evaluated the DandyDeveloper/redis-ha chart, but the autoscaling behavior doesn’t meet our production needs for high-volume rate-limiting.

Has anyone in the community successfully migrated from Redis bitnamilegacy to other Redis Open Source version?

Hi,

Considering that the historical Bitnami Redis chart was production ready I think that the best option is to continue to use the same charts. I understand that it’s hard to pay for something that’s been free for a long time, but it does provide significant value. Particularly since your deployment already uses its features and you are familiar with its behaviour.

Cheers,
Pete
