How to Access Tyk Dashboard in Tyk OSS (Open Source Gateway)

Hi Team,

I’m currently exploring the Tyk OSS (Open Source Gateway) and would like to understand the options available for accessing or enabling the Tyk Dashboard for API management.

From what I understand, the open source version includes the Tyk Gateway, but not the Dashboard or Portal components. However, I came across some installation scripts and older documentation referencing the Tyk Dashboard, and I’m unsure if it’s possible to use a dashboard UI with the OSS edition or if it’s strictly limited to the Tyk Pro/Enterprise version.

Could someone please clarify:

1.Is there a way to enable or access the Tyk Dashboard in the OSS version?

2.If not, are there any community-supported or limited UI tools that can be used with the open source gateway?

Any guidance or links to up-to-date documentation would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mahesh.

Hi Mahesh

There is no Open Source Dashboard, it has always been a proprietary product.
I’m not aware of any Open Source UI alternatives either.

It is not necessary to use the dashboard though, the gateway, combined with Tyk Pump, provides a great deal of capability and is very usable from command line or config files.
