Hi everyone,

What exactly do we need to configure in tyk.conf and tyk_analytics.conf to be able to use Tyk API Gateway and Tyk Dashboard without Mongo?
I have tried the provided Docker images, modified the configurations slightly but I’m now getting these errors:

tyk_dashboard_1 | time=“2016-01-08T16:46:36Z” level=error msg=“Mongo connection failed (retrying):no reachable servers”

Attached are my configuration files, largely inspired from the ones you distribute, essentially setting use_db_app_configs and enable_analytics to false and policies source to file.
I can run the API Gateway without Mongo, however the documentation seems to state that the Dashboard should work as well except for the analytics.

Any clue?

Hi Marc,

For dashboard mongo is not optional. So you’ll need to ditch dashboard if you don’t want mongo.

For gateway you can, you need to switch analytics to csv mode and have Tyk get API defs from disk. See the docs on the Tyk.conf options to see which to change.
