Hi,

One of our requirements is to post large files to our API, so I was wondering whether there’s a maximum size for the request body on Tyk Cloud?

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

It’s a global limit, so will not be configurable unless we choose to increase it for everyone. If users require more, and we get enough requests for it, we’ll implement a change to our configs.

Many thanks,
Martin

Hi Patrick,

There isn’t currently, though this may change in future without warning.

Many thanks,
Martin

Alright, thanks for that. We’ll progress any way, making sure we’ll have a (less elegant) backup solution for when it fails through Tyk Cloud.

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

May I ask how large?

Many thanks,
Martin

Hmm, that’s all up to our clients, but I would’t be surprised if some of the files exceed 1GB.

Cheers,
Patrick

Also, when I now try to upload a resource through Tyk Cloud, I’m getting:

413 Request Entity Too Large

The resource I’m trying to upload is about 2.5MB in size. This response comes from the Tyk Cloud API, as there’s no request coming in on our downstream API. Does this mean there actually is a limit set currently?

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

There I go telling untruths, there is a max size on requests through our cloud: 1MB.

Apologies for the misunderstanding,
Martin

Is this something that can be configured (increased) if we’re on a paid subscription, or will this be the final limit?

Thanks,
Patrick
