In Tyk 1.8.3, URL based versioning was introduced. The release notes stated:
Added URL-based versioning (only respects first value after listen path (e.g./listen_path/VERSION/resource/id)
But how do I implement this using the Tyk Dashboard? In “API Designer” > “Version Management” seems to require both a key and a value for the version. All I want to specify is that the analytics should extract VERSION from /listen_path/VERSION/resource/id and use that for versioned statistics etc.

Hi,
URL based versioning in the latest dashboard, when selected - should hide those fields. In the version management screen, select ‘First URL element’ from the Version Data location drop down.
That should be it.
You might need to hard refresh to get the new HTML in your browser (cached)?
