Could not hit the running API created in Dashboard

Installed Tyk Dashboard, pump and Gateway on Ubuntu using https://tyk.io/docs/get-started/with-tyk-on-premise/installation/on-ubuntu/
Now I am trying to set up an API in the dashboard and added the API using the below url:
//tyk.io/docs/getting-started/create-api/
But I am not able to hit the API. The url gives no response.
Let me know what is missing.

Hi could you share your gateway logs so we can see what is happening please.
Are you getting an error code? And is your gateway set up properly to talk to the dashboard? Check in your configuration files for correct shared secrets and connection strings in the db_app_config and policies sections of tyk.conf.

I had problem with my secret codes, its fixed now when I change the secrets. Thanks for quick response.
