Hi there

I am looking for a API gateway that can communicate with my microservces via RabbitMQ with non-blocking.
I prefer my microservices has no HTTP endpoints

I took a quick scan for Tyk API doc. Those sample backend is HTTP.
What if my backend endpoints are not HTTP. Can Tyk communicate with endpoints via RabbitMQ ?

Hi Angus,

Tyk currently has no RabbitMQ protocol translation support, but it’s on the roadmap for v1.10.

Many thanks,
Martin

Any timeline for v1.10 ?

On the other hand, will Tyk support something like Falcor router / GraphQL so that client app can request what she want ?

Hi Angus,

No timeline I’m afraid, we do have a public roadmap that is updated with what features are being implemented and what is currently in progress. The next release will be 1.9.1 which is focussing on bug fixes for 1.9 and general stability.

1.9.1 will also introduce some new features, but no large features for the core code base.

1.10 will follow, it’s got a large feature list, so we may break t up into smaller releases depending on how we go.

It’s unlikely we’ll put in something like GraphQL in 1.10, but it seems like an interesting idea to make thinner, leaner clients. So would take it under advisement as a future feature.

Cheers,
Martin
